P1: Semester 2, 2022 Project Announcement

WA Justice Association is excited to announce our first project for Semester 2, 2022.

Our WAAMH Project Team will be undertaking the project topic: Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Program Design.  This project is in partnership with WA Association for Mental Health (WAAMH).

The new Project aims to take the findings of the previous report to demonstrate how the IPS Program, which supports people with mental health conditions to gain employment, could be used in a criminal justice context.

The Project Team will be undertaking extensive consultation with key stakeholders, investigating opportunities for embedding IPS into existing services, and designing a preliminary IPS program.

The WAAMH Project Team is comprised of five students: Jessica Huynh (Team Leader), Olivia Trimboli, Mishka Isaacs, Natalya Mulvey and Leila Pinilla. The team will be mentored by Libby Plajzer and Julian Sanders both of preeminent global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

Keep up to date with our social media for updates on the project teams, advocacy and outreach teams.

WAJA is always looking out for potential mentors, partners, students and helpful resources. If you would like to get involved with our projects, please visit our website to express your interest.
